Finding balance and integration with two strong oppositions is the motto of this week.

Whenever we are dealing with oppositions it is helpful to think of the opposing planets as friends needing to grasp hands in the center of the horoscope wheel to come to some kind of balance. It is about finding the middle path as Buddha put it. With an opposition it is always about integration of the seemingly opposing forces. We need to find ways for them to make friends with each other for mutual growth. One astrological sign is always complemented by the opposing sign to its highest expression.

Jupiter Opposition Saturn

This week we have to come to terms with the rulers of optimism and pessimism Jupiter and Saturn. With Jupiter in charge of our beliefs, opinions and ideas all opposing the dominating Saturn who has the tendency to control and organize us more than we like, this is a week for introspection and trusting our own inner guidance. For that we need to feel comfortable with silence and have a way to tap into our inner connection to wisdom and sagacity. Meditation of any kind (I would count walking in nature as such), is helpful for introspective, deeper insights and inner guidance. It is the path to your inner creative well waiting for you to come and refresh yourself.

Sun Opposition Neptune

Neptune might blind our true vision with illusions and delusions but can also enhance our visionary depth and connection to the divine. In opposition with the Sun, the center of our conscious awareness and clarity Neptune is a potent possibility to link us to the divinity and guide us from a higher perspective.

Have you ever had that experience of total clarity what is required of you and where you need to go or what action to take? Whenever I have one of those moments of clairvoyance I feel exhilarated and so, in the divine flow; it is highly addictive because it is so pleasurable.

You Inner Guidance System

In my meditation this morning a memory popped into my mind. I remembered an event over 20 years ago happening in Germany with a clairvoyant card reader. In those days I loved to check out the different ways people would go about with their counseling sessions and it helped me a great deal to develop my own style of giving my astrological readings.

In those days I still had this fascination with knowing the future. I was already feeling the pull to leave Germany and wanted to get some more clarity around that. I asked her what she could tell me about that and where would be a good place for me to go. Her answer was very strong: “You will not leave Germany and all the good men for you are here in Germany.” Oops! That was not what I wanted to hear. I was single at that time and I was ready for a change in my life. I was looking for support for my inner longing to expand my life and leave cold Germany for at least part of the year. Little did I know what life had in store for me and I would end up on Maui, married now for 14 years.

But I did have an inkling, some kind of inner knowing, some inner tug for a different life style then I was currently having. When we are at cross roads in life we might find ourselves reaching for a higher perspective in a counseling session through tarot cards, astrology or maybe clairvoyance. In astrology we perceive that people coming to us often have strong transits activating their life themes.

When I start with a reading I always point out that if you only take 2 or 3 important thoughts home it has been valuable for you. I remind you that I am only your mirror to reflect your own inner truth and wisdom. Be aware where you resonate with what I am saying and use that as an entry to your own inner knowing. The use of astrology is so elegant because it allows you to step a little back from your identification with your structures and your personality. More inner freedom and insight will come out of that.

A good reading should deepen your access to your inner knowing and truth. You should feel clear and uplifted and empowered at the end of a session.

Magnets of Self-Fulfilling Prophecies

As far as future events are concerned we are creators of our own life. If we believe something to be happening for us the chances are pretty good that it will. Whenever a belief is charged with strong emotion it becomes very attractive and like a magnet. That strong emotion could be your excitement about your vision or your fear of something to happen. Both are strong emotions and when they are tied to an expectation there are very, very powerful attractors.

For example I had once a very upset client come to me who had been told that she would have an accident in autumn. Looking into her chart revealed a Uranus Mars transit. But putting it into the potential form of an accident it was doing a disservice to the client by setting a very powerful negative magnet.

As I see it we have all these different choices in any given moment and all those different potential futures may evolve out of it. Nothing is written in stone! That is why it is so powerful to know about the Law of Attraction and the Law of Allowing so we can be conscious and powerful creators of the life we desire.

As astrologers we have to be very conscious and artful to use the power of self- fulfilling prophesies for the best for our clients. We can set magnets with the highest potential inherent in the planetary qualities and configurations and thus open a pathway with conscious efforts to reach there. Consciousness is a powerful tool if used the right way.

Mercury Turns Retrograde in Virgo on August 20

This retrograde period will continue until September 12. We can look at all the possible trouble Mercury retrograde can bring or if we use our consciousness to help the underlying potential to bloom. The potential of Mercury in its own sign Virgo is plentiful.

The planet Mercury, being closest to the sun and having the smallest orbit, appears to move the fastest around the sun—its year is just 88 days long. In astrology Mercury is associated with our mind (intellect, curiosity), all forms of communication, information, science, youthfulness, and travel. Mercurial people are highly intelligent and they apply their intellect and curiosity to all that attracts their interest. They have a huge thirst for knowledge. They usually excel in speaking and writing. You can say Mercury describes our mental attitude, the way we are communicating and interacting with others.

Mercury retrograde in detail oriented Virgo can be a good time to reconnect with old friends, go back to finish old projects, clean up the garage and put your house into order. Maybe you want to put some fresh paint on the walls and throw old stuff out. I make a point in going through my closets and corners once a year and de-clutter. That always feels so good. And it is amazing how much useless crap is piling up in the duration of a year. Now would be the best time to do it. Put some energizing music on and go have fun with it.

But I also hate to just throw things away and contribute to the pile of waste we are struggling with on the planet. So I love to pass things along which have lost their usefulness for me. Twice a year I have a clothes swap party at my house where my girl friends descend with their bags of clothes, shoes, books and all kinds of stuff. We put it all into the middle of the room and then the merriment starts. Half naked women crawling all over piles of clothes trying things on, modeling for each other and having lots of fun slipping into each others skin. I think you get the picture.

Mars Venus Conjunction August 20

The same day that Mercury retrograde is starting, the God, Mars and his beloved Goddess, Venus are teaming up. While the energy in one area of our life might need more work and attention to flow, love, sensuality, beauty and sex is promised on the other side. It’s a good time to take some frivolous time off and go play with your partner, lover or friend. Take a long weekend and go somewhere and have some romance. If you are single go out, meet people and make yourself available for love and romance to happen in your life.

Venus and Mars are in Libra, the relationship sign which is promising a harmonious and deliciously sensual experience.

Did you enjoy the lively Full Moon yesterday? I had my writers’ circle in the afternoon and I found it very stimulating with many visionary thoughts and ideas. It is always good to get together with like-minded people to intensify your wanting and creative imaginary skills. You create an energy field and holding container to speed up the process of manifesting your dreams.

Saturn Opposition to Uranus July 26

This week one of the longer astrological cycles we have been watching is coming to an end with the final opposition of Saturn with Uranus. This is the closure out of five oppositions of these strong players. It all began November 4 in 2008 when the economy started crumbling around us. That was a major wake-up call that something was amiss in the economical organization of society and created the strong need and hope for deep changes. This was then leading to the election of Barack Obama with his visionary view and promises for a better future.

In his inauguration speech the message was that change will need all our hands and each one of us to take appropriate steps in our personal lives. Not something we like to hear. We all want mother and father to take care for things for us and we project that onto authority in general especially our government. But on the other hand it can be very self empowering because with your personal growth and adjustments you contribute to the whole, the morphogenetic field of integrated learning of the species. You can make a difference and you are making a difference.

The fifth opposition is culminating on July 26 and hopefully helps to integrate what we learned. That is a chance to set the course for alignment with better values and new structures to control the financial markets and economy. Personal Action is Required

I believe that the oil spill is presenting us with a sobering view of how we run this planet into the ground. We behave like irresponsible children just looking at the short term benefit of our actions and this is not working so well anymore. We need to do some growing up pretty fast.

New energy sources and technologies are here and have been available since the discoveries of Nicklaus Tesla.
Windmills and solar energy are easily available to individuals for personal use. Insulating your house and saving on energy usage is one way for you to contribute but also to save money in the long run.

Recycling your personal garbage is another way to take responsibility where you can instead of just pointing the finger. Not buying cheaply produced products from China to throw away after short use but instead investing into quality products with a longer life will help too. You might enjoy this great book by Belma Michael Johnson called Easy Green for more inspiration about this subject.

Saturn Steps into Libra July 21

With the stern taskmaster Saturn you are always called to inner and outer work. You are strongly invited to face your deepest fears and insecurities in whatever area Saturn is situated in your personal horoscope. Whenever personal planets are touched by Saturn transits you take notice because there is no way around it; you have to deepen your insight and focus, confront your inner demon and shadow aspects related to it. Many of you will feel a deep inner relaxation if you have planets in Virgo now that Saturn moved into the next sign. And others will be handed the invitation of inner work with planets in Libra, opposing or squaring Libra.

With the additional energy input of the electric Uranus opposition there is an added quality of sudden changes involved which can play out in your intimate relationship as well as your circle of friends.

Mars Joins Saturn at 1 Degree Libra July 31

Adding to this already volatile mixture the Martian energy could spark an impressive eruption. Violent impulses, accidents and chaos can be the result. On a personal level you want to watch your temper and choose ways to let your life force energy flow in ways that satisfy all principles involved in this mix. Mars is your life force, your will and discernment but also your sexual energy. Saturn is blocking your expansion to challenge you to more clarity and insight. Uranus wants to change the status quo and is the rebel and visionary.

This week is a good time to ask yourself some questions about these three elements in your life and how you allow them to be. It is a good starting point for new decisions and to implement first steps towards your goal.

Because the whole playground of this action is in Libra we have this chance to recreate the way we relate with others. If you are in a relationship expect some challenges and changes. Think about what is truly important to you and focus on what you want to deepen or see more of in your connection.

If your relationship does not serve you in your inner growth it might fall away. Or if you are single and yearn for a partner you might find somebody who fits your new inner adjustments.

Saturn will be in Libra for about 2.45 years so there is no rush to get to new relationships on the horizon. You will have time to deepen and integrate with the new subject matter. But with the Uranus Mars opposition starting off the Libra theme this week it is definitely happening with a big bang to get your attention.

There is nothing burning on the heavenly stove so to speak and we can use this week for balance, rejuvenation and prepare for setting our intentions with the Conscious Convergence coming weekend.

I don’t know about you but I had a ball yesterday with the Solar Eclipse. I described the Solar Eclipse last week as one of the universal windows opening for us to upgrade our consciousness and restart after that moment of darkness into a new perspective on a higher level of understanding. I got a taste of that yesterday with a day of meditation, contemplation and deep inner communion with the divine. I participated in two Oneness events throughout the day and it left me profoundly touched and grateful to be able to be part of this human transition into higher consciousness. It is just so delicious!

If you have been reading my weekly astro reports for a while you are aware of the many astrological constellations we had representing the times of change we are in and we all have a sense of happening all around us.

Change is in the Air

People feel the economy shifting right under their feet, losing their jobs and their financial security. The earth is threatened like never before by man made oil spills, atomic exercises stimulating earth quakes and tsunamis and there is an amazing de-sensitivity towards the cleanliness of our own nest, we are so very dependent on. We do need a change to survive as a specie! We want a change for the better!

And we are so resourceful creatures! I am quiet hopeful that being threatened with extinction we are sufficiently motivated to come up with solutions. There are already more solutions and alternatives out there then you might think. Inventors like the genius Nicolas Tesla have invented endless free energy almost a hundred years ago. Have a look at this video. It blew my mind! But I am not surprised that most of us have not heard from this amazing inventor even if he has been spearheading many aspects of technology we do use today. The greed and power of the rich ones like the Morgans and Rockefellers have been the driving force behind a sell able, marketable energy source they could control like oil and gas. They are not interested in free energy!

Uplifting Your Frequency to the Upper Heart Chakra

My point here is that as long as decisions and choices are dictated by our animal nature, the lower frequencies of survival, greed and power (the lowest three chakras) the separate ego consciousness is in control from that lower level of self. We need to move into the upper heart chakra and into oneness consciousness acting from a whole different level of being.

Many prophesies are talking about the possibility of a quantum leap in human consciousness in the year 2012. The Hopis talk about the two heart-ed people who should rise into unity consciousness. The Mayan calendar gives several significant dates heralding the change in consciousness towards unity in 2012. And we are approaching another one of those significant dates coming weekend.

I just watched the video of Carl Calleman and I like the sincere and down to earth attitude of this famous researcher of the Mayan calendar and its meaning for us. He doesn’t have any of the new age hype many have, using his work.

Also in the oneness community we expect the year 2012 to be an opportunity for mankind to move into oneness consciousness. Oneness or unity, both describe a higher state of consciousness based on a flowered heart center because of the experience of the truth: We are all one! Only if it is a felt experience not just a believe or just positive thinking it will have the power to change the very core of us.

The Conscious Convergence on July 17/18

It is not an astrological event we are talking about here but never the less I thought it is important enough to mention. Carl Calleman calls it a pre-wave for shifting consciousness. He describes it as the chance for us individually to set a clear intention to be part of the change and really wanting the unity consciousness to happen in us. Because it is otherwise an astrologically quiet week we can turn our intention towards this.

“For the first time ever some of the most well-known and respected elders of the Maya: Don Alejandro, Don Rigoberto Itzep and Hunbatz, Men among others, will be signaling through their ceremonies in the West that “it is
time.” In the East there will be a Chinese-Hindu convergence in
Singapore and Bali. In the North people in Scandinavia will be
gathering and in the South, at the roots of the global Tree of life
will Bushmen, representatives of the oldest existing culture of our
planet, for the first time ever be participating in an event of this
kind together obviously with many others in South Africa.” Carl Calleman

Is it True or Not?

For me personally and as an astrologer it would have made more sense to come together a week earlier on the weekend of the Solar Eclipse. But what is a week in the bigger cosmic picture? Whether you believe in this to be of significance or not, just the focus of so many people all around the planet setting their intentions for wanting to wake up to their true heritage as a spiritual being manifesting a truly exceptional life on this planet should be reason enough to join the forces.

We have the power to join our hearts and hands around the planet this weekend and feel part of the One Spirit. Lets dance together and have fun!

We had a Lunar Eclipse two weeks ago and we will have a Solar Eclipse on Sunday July 11 this week. The Lunar Eclipse in Capricorn was an invitation to renew our inner world of emotions through clarity of purpose, the willingness to feel our feelings, the need to be responsible and claim our personal power.

The Solar Eclipse in Cancer interrupts for a few minutes the energy flowing from the Sun towards the earth and with it we will experience an upgrade to our consciousness. You could imagine it like a restart on your computer which sometimes is needed to integrate new programs or files of information. There is some magic to new beginnings. Like the new light of every morning is promising a new day or the new birth of a baby entering this realm, both are holding a new potential of the un-manifested to be integrated into this physical world.

The Sun is symbolizing the highest consciousness in our universe and therefore in our chart. The Sun is sending life giving rays to our earth and in combination with water the Sun is the base of life on this planet as we know it. This Solar Eclipse is situated in Cancer, the home of the Moon, the Archetypal Mother who births, supports and protects life. A Solar Eclipse is always an extra powerful New Moon when the Moon is briefly covering the Suns radiation. Sun and Moon in conjunction is yin and yang melting into one circle.

Mother Earth and Father Sun

We had many challenging astrological windows of opportunities throughout the last few years heralding a profound change in consciousness on our planet. It becomes clearer to many people that only if this ruling species of humans is stepping to a higher level of consciousness, honoring oneness of all life and starts living from that place we will survive.

Mother Earth and Father Sun are coming together to give us another chance to shape up and attune to a higher level of consciousness. It is a grand window of opportunity towards global awakening. I love the book by Arjuna Ardagh called The Translucent Revolution where he shares his researches and interviews with many well known and unknown people and their inner processes partaking in that tidal wave of waking up to our full human potential. His other book Awakening into Oneness is another testimony to the process we are all partaking in and how we can help our brain to awake.

I was always amazed that we are only supposed to use around 5% of our brain according to scientific research. It made me curious: What kind of potential is lying dormant in the rest? And how can we jump start it? My personal quest guided me onto a spiritual journey where I gained experiences with meditation, different states of consciousness and deepened my inner connection to the divine guidance. For me meditation and Deeksha blessings have helped me to experience more grace in my life and has been my way to raise my consciousness and deepen my awareness of my divine nature. It has filled me with profound joy and gratitude.

Lunar Eclipse in Capricorn and Solar Eclipse in Cancer

Lunar Eclipse in Capricorn and Solar Eclipse in Cancer means emotions need to be tempered by clarity and purpose and conscious action fueled by inner emotional guidance. We need both for inner and outer balance. We need to use our mind as the tool it is meant to be to help us in the process of aligning with our inner divine guidance through our feelings. When we feel joy all is well. “The standard of success in life isn’t the things. It isn’t the money or the stuff. It is absolutely the amount of joy that you feel. “— Abraham

Spirituality and Joy

You can measure the level of your spiritual advancement by the level of joy you are able to feel on a constant base. Looking at it in reverse it means that every step towards more joy and happiness is another step in the spiritual journey you are on. Your conscious choice towards joy can become a daily practice. You might also want to check out the book by the Dalai Lama The Art of Happiness and his unique perspective.

Here are some questions for you:

•    Is joy a priority in your life?
•    Do you believe that you deserve happiness?
•    Do you think you have to accomplish something before you can allow yourself to be happy? (That is me and the Germany way of thinking: “First the work and then the pleasure…”)
•    What would be your percentage on a scale of 1-100 of joyfulness right now?
•    What gives you joy?
•    What actions or situations accompany joy for you?
•    How could you deepen your experiences of joy?

Make Joy a Priority in Your Life

It is not selfish to make joy a priority! Happy people don’t make war, take advantage of others or are cruel and mean. Happy people support life, make choices that benefit the bigger whole and are part of the solution instead of the problem. Happy people are more able to focus on oneness and what connects us all instead on separation and fear. Taking care for your own happiness and joy means you can contribute to the world and lift consciousness.

Or as Marianne Williamson said “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. …as we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

On this Solar Eclipse Sunday I will take part in a meditation and Deeksha circle with my oneness community. Sharing this special event with a group of like minded people is a wonderful way to update yourself to a higher frequency and is very powerful. I am wondering how the event of the Lunar Eclipse went for you last week? I felt very vulnerable and fragile on that day. Since my best friend had her 50 year birthday party there was not really the option for me to stay at home and nurse my more inward orientation of that day. So I made the best out of it. Instead of floating around like a butterfly for short interactions I connected with some dear friends I had not seen for a while and had some beautiful, deep conversations and real connections of the heart. That way I could honor my inner state and enjoy the specialness of the moment.

With the Sun in Cancer now briefly joined by Mercury on Monday June 28 we have a whole week of more inward focus and connection with our inner process and feelings. There are no other new astrologically important events happening so we can use this week happily for more awareness of our internal feeling structure.

Certainty/Comfort Versus Variety in Your Life

I am a big fan of Tony Robbins and I truly appreciate his passionate heart and spirit and his gracious contributions to the world. I have done several of his seminars and always received new inspiration and a strengthened inner resolve to deepen my commitment to life. His programs are high energy events and you really are riding a high wave of energy, love and bliss during that time. In his work he is working with the six human needs which he describes as:

1.    Certainty/Comfort

Today I want to have a look at the first two because of the time quality of this week giving us the chance to deepen our awareness for the seeming dichotomy of certainty and uncertainty. Remember a need is really that. It is not just a desire or a wish or a goal we set for ourselves. We NEED to have our NEEDS fulfilled to some extent to lead a somewhat content, joyful and successful life.

The NEED of Cancer is Certainty and Comfort

With the Sun in Cancer we all are invited to discover and integrate the qualities of Cancer this month. To have the certainty of a safe home and family is on the top of the list of priorities for a Cancerian to feel comfortable. The words “my home is my castle” must have been spoken by a Cancer. On the chakra level the first chakra is associated with survival and the sense of personal safety and is a primal human drive. Because of that we all try to create a life by controlling our close environment to insure that much needed sense of haven of safety. Our need to do that is often associated with the accumulation of money and ownership of things to assure our inner child of that needed comfort and holding.

Cancer is representing the archetypal mother and the inner child and therefore the ability to nourish and nurture as well as the need to receive those qualities.

The NEED for Variety

We are living in a world of duality of light and dark, right and wrong and all those opposing inner forces we do know so well. The complementary force to our need of certainty is the equally important force of longing for variety and inspiration through new experiences and the sense of adventure and excitement.

If you would have the certainty of how your life will be unfolding, if you would know how your next day will exactly look, there would be no excitement in your life. When we travel and leave our normal life and environment we are looking for that spark of life in the unknown and the challenge and adventure of uncertainty. We often feel more willing to listen to new views of life, experiencing totally different cultures and modes of behavior when we are traveling into the unknown. We feel more alive without the usual habituated ways we normally move through our life.

Did you know that holidays are the fourth main stress factor after losing your spouse, your work or health? Why?

Because you are out of your certainty and usual comfort zone in which you normally conduct your life. And if you are traveling with your spouse or family you don’t have your usual evasive strategies available and you spend more time together than usual. Of course that would be challenging for most of us. And still we love to travel abroad to the most distant locations on this planet, expanding our horizon to feel truly alive.

Your Chart Reveals Your Personal Blueprint of Opposing Forces

In your chart you can see how the more perfect balance of these two main forces or needs in your life might look. For example, I have the Sun in Taurus, my Ascendant is Gemini and my Moon is in Aquarius. Just those three constellations in your chart give you a very profound insight into your needed balance between certainty and uncertainty. My Taurus likes to be comfortable and travels in style, camping is not really my thing. Certainty is certainly high on my list of priorities: I have a beautiful home and I am in a very committed relationship and married for 14 years now. I have been an astrologer and jeweler for 32 years and have spent all those years consciously in deepening my own spiritual process. For me there is certainty in continuity. All of that is the Taurus part in me.

But with Gemini and Aquarius energy I very much need constant inspiration and exposure to new concepts, ideas, different cultures; and I love to travel. I also need a level of independence and freedom from the demands of day to day life and responsibilities. Those opposing forces have guided me towards a life of more autonomy and self responsibility I ever thought desirable or possible for myself.

Use Your Journal

I would like to invite you to have a look now at your own horoscope and determine how your individual mix of certainty/comfort versus uncertainty/variety looks like. It is always very powerful to put your ideas and thoughts into writing. I am a firm believer in the power of journaling. Ask yourself some questions like:

• How much certainty do you need?
• Where does it matter mostly to you? In your professional life? In your relationship?
• What are your rules around this? What is absolutely important for you to feel safe?
• How do you create your sense of comfort and feeling nourished?
• What matters more to you, your sense of certainty or your sense of freedom and variety?
• How do you create variety and adventure in your life?
• Do you think you have a healthy balance of the two in your life?
• What changes would you like to have to feel more joyful and fulfilled through the balance of the two?

LOVE IS IN THE AIR!

This week Venus sets the tone with changing into the sign of extravagant, expressive Leo and a favorable aspect to Jupiter is enhancing her pleasurable intentions and personality. Also we have a tight conjunction between Jupiter and Uranus in the beginning of Aries starting a whole new round of evolution.

Venus the Goddess of Love and Beauty

Venus has been celebrated through the ages as the goddess in charge of love and relationships. She has been seen as the patroness of lovers and couples helping them to open their heart and allow it to flower. You can look at your ability to love unconditionally as a hint of where you are in your personal journey towards oneness and a higher state of consciousness.

So what Does Love Really Mean?

Is it just a feeling? Does it mean if I love somebody I have to like him really well and always?

Our family of origin usually has a way to put this to the test. How do you deal with your family, the love you have for them and the obstacles and disagreements? Like the situation in my family I am facing is that I love my brother but I detest his actions in the moment. What do you do with situations like that? Can you still stay in your heart?

If I love somebody from the other sex (if I am hetero) does that mean I have to be in a relationship or married to that person?

For me it was a big revelation in my twenties when I had fallen in love with this beautiful man I really wanted to be with. But it turned out he wasn’t in love with me the same way and that fact didn’t really make a dent into my feelings. I realized the first time in my life that loving a man does not necessarily mean I have to be in a relationship with him. So we embarked onto a deep friendship that has survived many years.

So obviously love does not have to take a certain form and might actually surprise us.

Love is a State of Consciousness

In my experience love is a state of consciousness where I feel in a state of oneness and not so limited by apparent differences. I recognize myself in the other. I feel uplifted, grateful, abundant, joyful, generous, at peace with what is, tolerant, respectful and appreciative towards that person in my life. In a way this is even better then being loved by somebody.

Somebody might adore and love you but if you don’t return the sentiment, it doesn’t do much for you right? But if you feel your love overflowing that is definitely a high. And of course it is pretty special to be able to experience the reciprocity and mirroring of love back to you.

Venus Enters Leo June 14

With Venus moving through a new zodiac sign around every 19 days we get a chance to experience different facets and aspects of our heart and the growing ability to love and connect with others. With Venus in Leo we might feel more self assured in social situations and care less about how much others like or love us.

As a child we are utterly dependent on our caretakers to love us and therefore take care for our survival. I think that is the reason why love which belongs ultimately to the heart chakra is so connected with deep seated anxious feelings of survival and therefore related to the first chakra as well. I was always amazed about the tremendous amount of pain I would feel breaking up with a boyfriend even after a relatively short time of being together. For me it seemed like that every separation was touching the ultimate pain of separation from God, but also from mother, my first big love, my first husband, or my brother.

With Venus in Leo we can feel pretty solid and stable within ourselves without being so dependent onto the reactions of the other as the object of our love out there. This month can be a time for you to open yourself for experiences of unconditional love and the power and fulfillment in that. The Venus in Leo is the queen who feels utterly in charge of her destiny. Of course she is worthy of love and admiration. Of course she deserves to be adored and deeply loved. Of course she is in the flow of love, generous and abundant. This Venus is playful and affectionate with others. She is showing up as the powerful, creative, sexy and loving mentor she can be.

Jupiter Uranus Conjunction in Aries

Jupiter and Uranus are within the first degree of Aries. The first degree of Aries has the strongest initiative and fiery energy to begin something anew and supports our discrimination and decision making focus, our fierce expression of will power and action steps towards our new destination. Both planets will start us into a new level of freedom and visions for a different way to live with each other on this planet. We are again presented with the theme of deep transformation as a society through the big T-Square between Uranus opposition Saturn squaring Pluto throughout the year. Change and transformation is in the air and truly needed.

As devastating and bad as the oil spill has been and rightly upsetting us, it seems it will also help towards a changed responsibility and hopefully a radical new attitude concerning our planet in peril. It seems like throughout history as humans we always needed a profound amount of pain and threatened survival to change and grow into higher levels of consciousness. We are living in exciting times and we can make a difference as individuals through our own process of waking up into a higher consciousness and a different way of action from that individual place of influence.

Jupiter is always concerned with the bigger picture and the deeper meaning and value of life. Uranus is the visionary and rebel who spearheads new evolution in consciousness and carries the potential of the New Man or Woman. Both planets in the first degree of volatile Aries might confront us with other severe and frightening events eventually stirring us towards a New World.

And for your personal quest with Venus this month both planets will deliciously fuel your passion and joyful expansion of your heart. Unconditional loving from a true place of abundance and self love is the icing on the cake. Instead of gobbling it all down on your own, you can have a big party with your loved ones and share the sweetness and joy with your friends. Generosity is applied love in action. When we feel generous we feel rich and happy to share.

How about Generosity in Your Life?

Do you think you are generous? How do you see yourself?

Generosity and love can flow into two directions. You can apply it towards yourself and find ways to truly love yourself despite all the dark corners and wounds only you know about. You can work on yourself to find peace with the trauma and damage you might have experienced in your childhood. You can heal your inner wounds and grow through them. I have met amazing people who have become shining beacons of love and wisdom, coming out of tremendous trauma and drama in their childhood or later in life. Remember Nelson Mandela who is a shining example of the indestructible human spirit. It is truly amazing what the human spirit is capable off.

And you can let the love flow out into your life and touch people around you. Be generous with yourself, with your time and your skills. Share your wisdom, knowledge and expertise which are just your own unique brand of humanness. Find a way to volunteer and share and I promise you will feel magnificent!

This is a great month to deepen your ability to love unconditionally and see your own reflection consciously and appreciatively in others.  Keep your focus onto the appreciation of our oneness and sameness as humans and make your choices accordingly. We are living in extraordinary times and it is in your personal touch, in your power and your hands to make the world we are living into a little better place. I always will love the song by Jack Johnson and Ben Harper called: MY OWN TWO HANDS. Don’t miss it, it catches the energy of the moment.

Happy birthday for all Geminis! We are all moving into a more light hearted, more fluid time of the year. It is the time of the year when we enjoy ourselves with the fresh energy, maybe travel or start with some new ideas. Geminis always have new ideas and are always moving. They are the butterflies flying from flower to flower, discovering the exciting beautiful world. One thing for sure if you have a Gemini partner, you will never get bored. They will keep you on your toes. That might be challenging at times but change is a good thing and Geminis move through it with ease.

Depending on the house position of your Sun in your chart and the aspect connection with other planets the general Gemini qualities might not show as obvious as described later in this article but you will find it.

I always remember a client of mine describing his 6 years old Gemini daughter. He said she was outside in the garden and kept talking and talking which in itself didn’t surprise him. But when he looked out of the window to see who she was with, there was nobody. She just was talking to herself…As you can see communication is everything!

Late Spring Explodes Everywhere with Energy

By the end of May spring is in full force in the Northern Hemisphere: flowers and trees are in full bloom, gardens have been planted and are already sprouting, the first brood of baby birds has hatched. There is excitement in the air! This is the excitement and energy of the sign of Gemini.

Geminis at their best and worst illustrate the full complexity of the human personality. You will be readily drawn to a Gemini—but getting at their true essence and dealing with their energy may not be easy and you will need to be on your toes!

Geminis power is in their flexible minds and the way they have with words.

Gemini rules the 3rd House—Communication and Excursions.

Mercurial Geminis

Gemini’s ruling planet (Mercury) and symbol (twins) sum up the traits of this sign. Mercury (Greek: Hermes or Apollo) was the Roman god of commerce, eloquence, travel, and—beware!—cunning, and theft. With wings on his sandals and helmet, Mercury swiftly communicated messages among the gods. We now use the word mercurial to mean a person who is eloquent, ingenious, unpredictable, changeable, and tending toward a negative sort of cunning—all qualities of Geminis.

The planet Mercury, being closest to the sun and having the smallest orbit, appears to move the fastest around the sun—beside the Moon. It’s year is just 88 days long. In astrology Mercury is associated with our mind (intellect, curiosity), all forms of communication, information, science, youthfulness, and travel.

Geminis are highly intelligent and they apply their intellect and curiosity to all that attracts their interest. They have a huge thirst for knowledge. They excel in speaking and writing.
Gemini is a masculine air sign, meaning that people born under this sign are, again, highly intelligent, flexible, versatile, and curious. But like water they are not easily contained—they need to always be moving from place to place and easily become bored and restless unless they have constant stimulation.

It is not difficult at all to be drawn to Geminis. They are charming, talkative, lively, funny, and quick witted. But they also can be very scatter brained and flattering from one thing to the next without ever finishing something properly. But of course it all depends on all the other factors in your chart.

How Gemstones Can Enhance Your Gemini Experience

For the Gemini it is important to not get overexcited or overextended in their ventures. Because they are so mental all gemstones that can calm the nervous system will help them to focus  and function better.

Amber Has Sun, Mercury, Jupiter and Chiron Energies

Amber has a special place in my heart because it is a stone and it is not. That seems to make it a wonderful stone for the ambivalent Gemini with his two faces.

“Amber is special because it is the only gemstone that comes to us from the plant world. Amber is the fossilized, hardened resin of pine trees that formed about fifty million years ago. It has an amorphous (non crystalline) structure. It is found in various places, with the largest reserve in Samland, a region of Russia on the Baltic Sea near the border of Poland. Usually the color of amber is in the yellow-orange to brown range, but there are also varieties in white, black, blue, and greenish colors. We refer here to the yellow-orange variety because it is the most common.

Amber has the ability to create static electricity when it is rubbed with a cloth. This ability makes it a healer for harmonizing the electrical fields in and around our physical body. Amber balances our hormonal, nervous, and digestive systems.

Amber belongs to the third chakra, the solar plexus area. Here it softens and releases tensions and the physical manifestations of fears, which may include a tight, sour, or upset stomach.

By connecting us with the powerful life force energy of the sun, Amber brings us vibrant, joyful aliveness. Universally people enjoy spending time in the sun and bathing the body in its life-giving energy. This is one of the oldest naturally occurring meditations, the sun meditation, which induces in us a deep state of inward-turned relaxation. Amber also relieves depression by connecting us with our own inner sun center, our internal spark of light and joy. It enhances creativity, personal strength, self-expression, and power.

Amber is also a wonderful stone for babies, making them happy and joyful, and in Germany an old home remedy is to give a baby a large piece to bite on to relieve the pain of teething!”

As you can see it is a very versatile stone you might enjoy and use for your healing even if you are not a Gemini.

We are having a quiet astrological week and I will use the lull to celebrate with you the one year anniversary of my blog: The Astrological Weather Report & Healing Gems.

Wow, that was quiet a ride this year; so many things to learn, so many ways to be challenged to grow. The technical problems and things to learn have been the most difficult for me. But I had good support with my webmaster I am very grateful for. I have managed to write 122 posts till today,  at least one every week and I am very proud of it.

Of course the format of the blog has changed over the year and has evolved in its own way and fashion. In the beginning I was leaning towards more basic astrological teachings; now it feels like the ground has been laid and there is all that information at your fingertips to find through the search option.
In the beginning I have written a lot about the Moon astrology because it is such an important way for understanding and becoming more conscious of our emotional inner tides. But over time things became very repetitive and I got bored. So I needed to change my writings so it would be joyful and interesting for myself again. Now you can always see the exact Moon position on the blog roll and just go back and find the article about the specific Moon position in the archive if you want.

Nowadays I am more interested to discuss the astrological highlights of the week to inspire you to contemplate their potential and stir you towards a life with deeper meaning, in a healthy body with a joyful spirit. I believe I have become a better writer in the process.

YOU ARE INDISPENSABLE TO THE UNIVERSE

“The most basic governing principles of the entire universe—and certainly of astrology—are that everything consists of energy and that it is all interconnected. From the tiniest subatomic particle to the largest star systems, all of the matter and energy in the universe belongs to one immense web of existence.

Every part of that web is essential to the whole. You could compare the universe to an ecosystem on earth: if you add or subtract a plant or animal, such as by altering the climate, eventually the entire ecosystem is affected. Or think of an atom: remove just one infinitesimal proton from an atom, and you have an entirely different substance. If hydrogen were changed to helium, the entire known universe would be profoundly changed. Everything is held in a delicate and exquisitely beautiful balance.

The principle of interrelatedness means that although you are only one of billions upon billions of energy beings in the universe, you are far from insignificant! The universe cannot do without you! If you were not here tomorrow, the echoes of your absence would reverberate out across the universe. Those closest to you would suffer your loss immediately. Your loved ones, coworkers, and the people you serve in your work are connected to dozens of other people, and they are in turn connected to hundreds, to thousands of others. This is not to mention your relationship to animals, to the natural environment, and so on.

If you doubt your importance, please stop reading this right now and make a list of 10 Ways I Impact the World. I guarantee you, you won’t want to stop at 10 ways and you will easily list 50 and even 100 ways that you impact the world. And then imagine all the repercussions of each way that you impact the world—all the ripples that are sent throughout the world because you are loving, caring, competent, devoted, or skilled.

Because you are here in this world, you have a chance to send out waves of joy, love, and comfort that will be transmitted from one place to another way beyond your imagination.

Because you are indispensable, it’s important that you make your mark on the universe by living a life that is rich and fulfilling, and that brings something of value to the world. That is your role as a Giver. But you are also meant to be a Receiver. Looking at the incredible world that has been given to you as your Earthly home, it’s clear that you are meant to partake in all the beauty and abundance in the world and to live a life based in joy and love and success.

That’s where the art and science of astrology comes in! The purpose of astrology is to help you gain a deep understanding of the workings of the world and your place in it—just where you are situated in this vast universal web of existence, how you relate to things as small as insects and as large as the planets, what unique role you are called to fulfill with your skills and talents, and how to maximize your success and happiness.

This is the forth show down out of five oppositions of these strong players. It all started in the fall of 2008 when the economy started crumbling around us and leading to the election of Barack Obama and his visionary view and promises for a better future. The fifth opposition will culminate in July 26 and hopefully help to integrate what we learned and set the course in alignment with better values and new structures of control for the financial markets. Trouble with Airplanes in Europe

The trouble with the planes in Europe not being able to fly safely can be counted as a manifestation of Uranus in Pisces in opposition with Saturn. Uranus is symbolizing airline travels and high tech and in Pisces there is the added challenge with toxicity. Sudden eruptions like the volcano going off in Iceland are displaying the sudden changes we know from Uranus.

If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans… I had planned to go to Germany last week and had to postpone my trip. At least I got stuck at home and feel very lucky about that. For all these earth shaking transits we are facing with the big T-square happening on and off between the big players Saturn opposition Uranus squaring Pluto we better be patient and flexible these days and except change of plans and adjust our attitude the best way possible.

Adjusting to the Moment

With big changes pushed upon us in our personal life, professional life or economical well being the question is how we can deal with situations like that? How can we adjust our emotions and thoughts to feel better, less helpless and frightened?

I believe we always have to start from where we are. Whatever the situation is you want to become very clear and as conscious as possible about what is going on by evaluating the problem. But then most people keep at it; their thoughts keep constantly circling around the problem like pushing with your tongue against the hurting tooth and we know that does not change a thing. Solutions come to us when we are able to relax into the moment and open our unconscious mind with all the resources stored there to give us sudden ideas or impulses to guide us forward. Dreams are one way to reach into that unconscious potential. Remember even Einstein got his defining clue through a dream helping him to devise his relativity theory.

The Benefits of Meditation

There is another way besides dreaming to relax your brain waves into alpha or delta and stay conscious to reap the benefits of the more creatively functioning brain and that is meditation. No matter what meditation method you are using they all have in common that they change your brain wave, relax and center you. There have been studies done with Transcendental Meditation and the many benefits people have been receiving from it. They even found a correlation with crime rates dropping in cities with a specific amount of people meditating. Which makes sense and shows how interconnected we all are through the morphogenetic field you could also call the collective unconsciousness. (Read more about meditation techniques)

Right and Left Brain Working Together

I remember a meditation teacher friend of mine from the Gurdjeff path who was a doctor of physics and had his own laser company in Holland. He used to do business with installing his software around Europe with all kinds of laser driven modems in hospitals and other industrial applications. He was often called for trouble shooting when something wasn’t working properly. If he couldn’t figure it out otherwise he would go to the installation and meditate in front of the computer and always find out what the origin of the trouble was. Pretty cool isn’t it? At least I thought so. That seems to be the optimal application of right and left brain working together.

Using your Mind to Control Your Emotions

What often scares us the most is the feeling of helplessness and loss of control. But the only control we have is in guiding our thoughts and feelings into a direction where we will feel a little bit better, step by step. You can do that by changing the meaning you are giving to a situation you are in. Like people being stuck in transit in the airports have been reported to be remarkably calm assuming that being stuck was better then falling out of the sky with an airplane.

In Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) we call that re-framing. Re-framing is putting your experience into a different framework which changes your perception. Being stuck in an airport is preferable to loosing your life which is quiet a successful re-framing of the situation.

Focusing on Where YOU Want to Go

And then you can also be in control of your thoughts and emotions by guiding them towards your dream or goal, aligning yourself with your energy. Imagine yourself how it will be and feel arriving at that point in your future. Imagine yourself already being there. Get excited and hopeful and you will be moving towards your aim and you will have the added benefit of feeling good along the way.

Full Moon in Scorpio on April 28

This month we are having the Full Moon in Scorpio which will be powerful and provides us with extra intense emotional responses in all areas of our life. The opposition of the intense Full Moon in Scorpio with the more laid back Sun in Taurus might bring some conflicts around ownership of assets, control issues in relationships and intense reactivity in general.

Our thinking might be a tad bit stubborn and not very flexible on this day. But the inborn optimism of Taurus might help to save the day and ease the intensity of the opposing Scorpio.

New beginnings and reevaluating the old describes the theme of this week.

Before the New Moon we experience the darkest night of the month and with it the conclusion of one emotional circle of feeling our way through life. Watching the Moon slip through the whole zodiac in the duration of one month is a way to become more self conscious and in tune with ourselves, our needs and the emotions who often sit in the drivers seat without us knowing.

We are very much in tune with the stars and through our pineal gland we are influenced by the light of the waxing and waning Moon phases. On the physical level our sexual energy, the processes of aging as well as our sleep are regulated by this gland. I have read it described as the “cosmic GPS, locating our consciousness in time and space.”

With the new light coming in with the New Moon each month, we are promised a new beginning. I love new beginnings! I love my mornings the best when I wake up unencumbered yet by the former day and its problems, fresh energy at my disposal, new ideas popping into my mind while I am having my tea, starting my day. I have a fresh day right in front of me with time and the potential for anything.

New Moon in Aries on April 14

This New Moon is special because she is the first New Moon in the first sign of the zodiac, the Aries. This is the start of the evolution and unfolding of the astrological wheel and Aries promises a new start with spring time energy budding, life force expanding, passion shared and innocent spontaneity given. With the Sun still in Aries but getting ready to leave for Taurus, Aries energy will be over with the end of this week.

New Moon Square to January 15 Solar Eclipse

A square is always a challenge. We have to face some friction between the two principles involved and we are asked to face some decisions and potential changes. The New Moon square to the solar eclipse that happened in January in 25 degree Capricorn, invites us to face challenges with courage (Aries) and implement and own our own power and strength. It is interesting to look back three month to the time of the eclipse and see what you have faced at that time in your life and where it has brought you.

Chiron, the Wounded Healer as Your Facilitator

For me I am still in the process of cleaning and healing my body, the temple of my soul. I embarked on this journey in the beginning of the year. I made profound changes in my diet, for example I am not putting any processed food in my mouth. I am cooking grains with sea weeds, fresh vegetables, eat green salads and juice once a day. No sodas, no chips no nothing. I am missing the rice crackers. Talk about a life style change… And I am doing regular Far Infra Red Sauna and coffee enemas, yeah…you get used to it after you figured it out, it is actually quiet easy and fast. Both make me feel so good and that counts.

I was inspired to embark on my healing journey because of many health problems. Pain seems to be a very good motivation for all of us to move into new territory. We had so many planets in Pisces at the beginning of this year that I seemed to be guided into detoxification and healing on many levels of my life.

While Chiron was staying in Aquarius we were gifted with outrageously new technology for use in our healing process. Far Infra Red Saunas, cold lasers, crystal blankets and many new age technologies are available for home use and can make a big difference for you if you are suffering. I heard two years ago on a conference about the newest research in biology where they experiment with computer build organs grown from DNA for organ replacements. We are truly living in amazing times.

And now with Chiron moving into Pisces on April 19, he will be joining Jupiter and Uranus in this sign. Chiron, the universal healer brings in a new frequency for us to adapt to and use. The last time Chiron moved through Pisces was 1960-69 with a whole generation breaking with tradition, demonstrating for peace in Vietnam and civil rights and opening their consciousness with mind altering drugs. “Make Love – not War” was spearheading the longing for a more human approach to life and was feed by the inherent dimension of oneness in consciousness of all that is. Pisces in his highest expression is all about oneness, unconditional love and the transcendence of the physical, reaching for our non physical origin and God.

Drugs and Healing

Drugs also belong to Pisces, as a healing remedy as well as toxic and poisonous substances. My hope for this round of Chiron through Pisces is that we will be rethinking our whole approach to illness and disease. It is obvious that nowadays most doctors are not trained to look for possible causes of illnesses based in toxicity and nutrient imbalances but in prescribing drugs to treat symptoms. The prescribed drugs with all their side effects are adding to the toxic burden we are already enduring and this can only be a short term and very short sighted solution.

When your car has a red warning lamp going on you bring your car to the mechanic to find the problem. If the mechanic would just unscrew the light bulb and declares the problem solved, you would probable not be too happy with that solution and look for a new mechanic.

And yet we often resign ourselves to that approach concerning our health. One very well known homeopathic doctor, a client of mine in Germany told me that just taking people off their numerous drugs and detoxifying them slowly is over 50% of the healing process he has been facilitating for people. (Of course I am not suggesting to you here to go cold turkey on your medications!! You need to be smart about it and have an experienced health practitioner at your side.)

With all the studying I have done since the beginning of the year I have come across the macro biotic healing approach, Dr. Sherry Roger’s “Detoxify or Die” and the “Healing: The Gerson Way”. What they all have in common is that they promise solutions and recuperation from many life threatening, degenerative or chronic diseases. They are all based in programs of detoxification and nutritional balance to facilitate the healing process. And that means you need to read and educate yourself, you have to take your own health into your own hands and take action. There is no other way!

Mercury Turns Retrograde on April 4

Mercury takes his second retrograde this year at 12 degrees Taurus and with his back and forth he will be spending double then the usual time in this sign. Mercury will be turning direct on May 11.

I have written before about the intricacies of Mercury retrograde. I think of it as a time to reevaluate and rethink our strategies and directions in life. Depending on the sign Mercury is in that will be the area in your life to have that special look directed at. With the sign of Taurus we have a sign where it is all about the physical world, the body, finances, home and family and our own comfort. Being a Taurus myself I can only agree that beauty and comfort is extremely important to me. I have one of those super comfy recliners from a European brand so that it also looks nice. Mine is red!

And of course then there is the body! A happy soul resides more easily in a happy body that is fully functioning and not in pain. So maybe you take my rumblings today into your heart and start on a new journey towards greater health and happiness. Remember to set your intentions, become clear first and then take action steps towards them.
